Event Management Platform with Ticketing

Project Overview

This project involved building both web and mobile applications for managing events and user participation. The web platform allowed administrators to manage event logistics, while the mobile app provided users with a seamless experience for discovering and engaging with local events and services. A key feature was the booking system.

My Role

Associate Project Manager | Quality Assurance

Defined project roles, scope, responsibilities, and milestones, developed project plans to align with client goals, and managed Agile processes including daily scrums, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and demos. I administered risk management, tracked deliverables, and prepared progress reports. I also consulted with cross-functional teams—designers, engineers, and stakeholders—to execute projects and ensure high-quality outcomes.

Target Customers

• Event managers: To oversee event logistics and streamline management processes and show offerings.

• End-users: Individuals interested in discovering and participating in local activities such as events, festivals, and other community gatherings.

Outcome

• Developed and enhanced several key features over the project lifecycle, improving the app's functionality and user experience.

• Expanded platform capabilities by introducing additional features, resulting in 380% increased user growth.

• Successfully onboarded more event managers after the introduction of new features, driven by the app’s proven success in previous launches.

• Handled and collaborated team to fix app issues during live events with hundreds of users.

Lesson Learned

• A user-centric design approach made all the difference, particularly for our mobile users. By keeping the end-user experience at the forefront, we delivered a product that felt intuitive and easy to navigate.

• We also found that Agile feedback loops played a vital role in keeping the project agile. By quickly integrating feedback, we were able to make iterative improvements, ensuring the product evolved in the right direction.
